I create each of my hats with tender loving care. Each hat is carefully covered with material piece by piece then lovingly embellished with various items as if a picture is being painted or a story being told. When each hat is completed, it is numbered then signed with my artist alias "Babs LaRue" making each hat a unique collectors item as well as a piece of wearable art. I also take custom orders.

"Violet Tea" is a very special favorite of mine. It is dedicated to my late mother, Violet who loved each and every hat I made. The form is coverd a sweet delicate brocade lavendar satin, piece by piece... inner crown, under side brim, top of brim, outer crown as well as band. All carefully cut and placed individually. I embellished this hat with different textures of ribbon, feathers and flowers, accented with matching trim. This is a simple but elegant hat, a great addition to any collection and a sweet tea hat. Mom would be proud!
